In a very special way, we finally finish the CNY with much joy and looking forward to God further using us for his work.

CNY started way before the actual day , all the preparation in buying Goodies and order food need before the re-union dinner. My wife was most busy. For 2 years running, we have to visit my sister first because mum was with them. I have to change money to get new dollars notes for "Ang Pow". I have to be thankful for being able to give, it is always better to give than to receive. It shows that I am still be employed and getting enough to share. The kids are most joyous and felt richer as well.

It may sound racist as you have a Chinese New Year, a "English" New Year, a "Malay" new year and an "Indian" New Year. Especially in Singapore, a multinational location. I wonder when are we going to have a Nepalist New Year or African one. We can have many more holidays if everyone gets to celebrate "their" New Year the same way the Chinese do.

No food at most hawker centres or food courts because the chinese only take a break during Chinese New Year. They can really take up to 8 or 10 days. Lucky there isn't a "all Chinese" emergency service. I can imagine many things don't work well in China during CNY.

Today just read about a lady teacher having sexual relationship with a boy. She will be charged for doing that with a minor. It is a terrible thing that it is happening locally. It reminded me of a movie I watched on board the plane, and the end of the woman was also a jail sentence. We know the Lord coming is drawing nearer when things get more immoral and just like Sodom ....

One last word, I felt sorry that the MP was so badly burnt. Hope we still can shake hands with them. Remember on lady MP lost her seats because she washed her hands after shaking hands with someone from the wards. At least, she did not get burnt so badly. bye.
