Today is the second day of the New Year

Still sorting out something that were left from last year. Having a great year end activities make the start toward the new year a bit slow. I need to hurry then!

Resolutions need to be finalised, priority be made and activities plan.

I have decided not to use the SMART method but be general and let God's leading be clearly the choice. It can be through the MF activities, needs arising from somebody or event driven.
Yet I still have plan to finish reading the Bible again in one year. Participate in the Door to door activities monthly and develop skills for God's service some obvious resolution in the year.

My two younger children are doing their final year in Primary and Secondary school respectively and will probably occupy much of my at home hours. Need to help them to achieve what they can be.

So much already !! It looks like a full year of actions.
May God supply all my needs according to his riches blessings in Christ Jesus.

So long............

We are near to the end of the year, and it is time to reflect on the goodness of the Lord as well as check on we should do in the new year. Let me recounts...

1) The top of the list is that of mother coming to know Christ. She confess with her mouth and believe that Christ is her saviour. 31 May 2008 is the day of her baptism. No amount of money or gifts can be compared to this. Thank you Lord only you can change it.
2) Started joining many activities in MF and I was blessed with many spiritual lessons.
3) Being able to cope at work and service in church.
4) My wife agreeing to join the lady BS on Sunday.

.... many more............

What to do next year ?

1) Put in more to serve God - be more involved in activities
2) Get more involve in the kid's life
3) Put in more effort in preparation for lesson.
4) Get myself fit for his work.

... the list may get pretty long so just put the most obvious, maybe this year I can achieve ......

...... so long

Today is Christmas day- what does it mean to me? We had a celebration of food and giving of presents at the office yesterday. It is supposed to be the Christmas spirit of giving. Yet to me, I am sure that Christmas is am receiving a gift that we cannot repay.

It is not about celebrating Santa Claus is coming to town to give the good kids what they deserved for their good behaviour. It is about the gift of Jesus Christ. The babe that was borned by a virgin and it is special. All humans are borned because the sperm from their father's body get into one of the eggs in the mother's body and it became them. Jesus was borned different, he cannot be like us as the all man are borned sinners, because the first man (Adam) committed the sin of disobedience at Eden. Adam represented all man after him and so all sinned. Just as it is said, the results of sins is death, today we still see death in all man so in other words man still continue to sin.

Jesus came not in the same way as all man so as to become the second Adam to represent man again but this time with total obedience to God. His birth is to be remembered !

Furthermore, Jesus came to die for man to pay for all our sins so that God will not punish those who accept his way of paying for our sins. Failure to accept this is frightening, it means we reject the purpose of Christ and there is no excuse. Jesus shown us that beside living a perfect life and died, he rose again. That shows that what he said was true, no one can come back from the dead and even predicted it before his death.

Dare you forsake such a opportunity to remember Christ for all that he did for you.
Today is the day to receive this way and believe. Then can I say " Have a blessed Christmas"

After many years since I last have a carolling practise, I decided to join our MF to sing this Dec 20. The hymns were the same except we need to practise some Mandarin.
One thing really struck me was the visit to Rev Timothy Tow. The first look at him was familiar to me. He looks like my mother, with the wrinlkles and blur looking eyes. This is the same look for every old folks who was left to eat very little at hospital.

My mother was a happy case as far as I am concern. Her soul was ready to meet God.
She believed in Christ after her stroke and confess her faith before the pastors. She received her baptism on the last day of May this year.

For Rev Tow, I saw a end to once a strong person who indicate much faith in Christ yet his end
may not be what I expected. May God help him.
So long..............
