The S'pore Govenment gave a budget that we extra, so that the worker can keep their jobs. Thanks to the $4.9B from the reserved.
While it is obvious that they are trying to help business to stay afloat, there are still questions on why certain goodies are there?
For example why give moneys to taxi companies for their business problem when they keep the price high for everyone, empty taxi not rented is poor planning, business failure. Consumers still bear the high surchages. How about giving the 250% tax rebate? It seems generous but certainly it is always a ungenerous government of not willing to give direct to charity that rightly deserved help from the government.
What is still a thorn is the 30 % town council sinking funds that cannot be returned to the resident because the nearly $1b sinking fund is not enough to build some unknown system in the town council in case it is ever needed!
What can we expect then ? It is kind of people we voted for, who think of how to make money for the nations and themselves while all others are done to ensure that they are still there the next time. Are we talking of passion for the people. i think some can't be concerned. Mr Wong KS made this remark, when the MP was burnt by a resident, the accused must be prosecuted !! Don't you know the law, you can't persecute an insane man. This show no compassion on the part of Mr Wong, shame on him.
Finally, I don't think we can forever depend on the Government for all provision. Only God can provide all the time and at all situations. After all who is sovereign over all that happen in Singapore and everywhere. Thus, all cheers , we are in the SAFE hand of God. Praise be to him.
